My Favorite Things :: Day 5 :: The Harlem Bounce and a GIVEAWAY

So we made it to day 5 of my favorite things!! Have you enjoyed them so far?

Here’s a recap of this week’s posts in case you missed them.

Day 1:: The Baby Wrap

Day 2:: How to Avoid Showing Boob

Day 3:: Gross Things You’ll Do as a Parent

Day 3:: So You’ve Got a Sick Kid

Day 4:: Fluffy Butts are Cool

All of these things are baby items that I

This last one is no exception.

No one tells you exactly what a night with a baby will actually be like. You hear mention of this intimidating thing called the witching hour, but until you’ve been there, you haven’t got a CLUE what you are in for.

My absolute FAVORITE thing to get me through the witching hour? This.

The Harlem Bounce comes courtesy of a Gaiam Yoga Ball without which no one in my house would ever ever sleep. And not only does it put the little critter to sleep? You get pretty kickass abs in the process. Give one to a pregnant girlfriend as a shower gift and she will TOTALLY thank you later.

So are you ready for some GIVEAWAY???

I’m not really sure which of these I’m most excited about. Maybe the Nose Frida, although I’m definitely just going to buy one if I don’t win it before baby #2 shows up. The nursing wrap is probably my next favorite. I didn’t use a cover much with my daughter after the first couple months, but it would be great next time to have one for planes and other places where I’m in close quarters with strangers.

  2. Carrie D'Arcangelo says

I am so excited and amazed by this awesome contest/giveaway!! My favorite item is the snotsucker. I know that sounds crazy but I know it’s the one that will gross out my husband!! I will be sure to make HIM use it!!! Ha, ha….Thanks for sharing all your favorite things!!

  3. Laura says

I think I’m most excited about the newborn bundle of gdiapers. I’ve always wanted to try them but I already have cloth diapers for my two year old. For baby #2, due in early September, it would be awesome to have gdiapers.

  6. Logan duVon says

  7. Lori Fredericks says

I’m most excited about the Moby! We have an ergo as well, but with twins coming – the more choices the better!

  8. Taylor-Ann says

I totally need this for my sister who is expecting baby number 2. I have followed this week and everything you have pointed out, I wish I knew when I had my little guy a year and half ago. Where were you then? :)

  9. Carrie Hall says

That video is hysterical! I had no idea that was a use of an exercise ball, but it’s a great idea!

Carrie, the exercise ball is the most wonderful baby thing invented for non baby purposes. Even when I was pregnant it was the only thing I could sit on, was AMAZING during labor and now? OMG the thought of not having it every night? Distressing.

  10. Cynthia says

My yoga ball from my previous pregnancy is about as deflated as my boobs post breast feeding. (Can I say that??) ;-D

That Moby Go looks awesome! Used a Moby for my son till he got too big for me, would love to let daddy have an option…

  12. Mouse says

I’d love to win the MobyGo! Actually, I found your site by searching for baby carrier giveaways. I need one for hiking and generally going about life as my 3-year-old demands when my 7-week-old is too big for her stretchy wrap this summer, and my husband thinks it’s a waste of money. But hey, he’s not the one spending all day with two kids, you know? Anyway, thanks for the opportunity!
