This is a bold claim, no?
But I have to say, as someone who doesn’t like chocolate all that much (I know I know, I’m weird) these are the BEST BEST BEST chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. Seriously.
Of course, the caveat is this. Chocolate chip cookies come in two separate forms. Thick, soft and chewy, or thin, buttery and crispy/chewy. These are the latter. They are almost like cookie chips with their buttery, crispy edges but chewy and chocolate-ly in the the middle with the YUMMIEST flavors of brown sugar and butter.
They are the BEST I’ve ever had, but the only chocolate chip cookies that my mother ever made me… So I might be just a smidge biased.
But no matter what type of cookie you love, these are definitely worth trying. Enjoy!
The BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies

Misc | Child Friendly, Freezable |
Ingredients
- 1/2lb Butter (Two sticks - Room Temperature)
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 3/4 cups White Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 2 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1.5 cups Chocolate Chips (I use dark chocolate chips for something special, or sometimes a mix of dark and milk.)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Cream the butter and the sugars together until well mixed. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in another bowl and sift. Although let's be honest, I don't have a sifter and haven't sifted anything ever. Throw it all in a bowl and use a whisk to combine... that will suffice without having to buy more kitchen accoutrements.
Drop your cookies onto a greased cookie sheet by the spoonful. Make sure to give them some room because they will spread out considerably. Cook 8-10 minutes and then remove from oven. Let sit on cookie sheet for about 2-3 minutes and then cool on wire rack. |
