Pregnancy Cravings – Or How Best to Use the New YP Mobile App

So lately I feel like my world revolves around my toddler, cleaning my house and my cravings. Pregnancy cravings are nothing to be trifled with and make PMS cravings look positively amateur in comparison. I don’t just want that brownie. I NEED that brownie. Like, I will beat you up and take that brownie from you if you’re not careful.

Now the cravings themselves haven’t been overly weird, like sweetbreads or anything, but they are pretty weird for me. Rarely do I crave chocolate, or cake, or brownies… I’m really more of a fruit and vegetables (or french fries) kind of gal. But holy COW I’m a one woman pastry/donut/cookie eating machine nowadays. My poor kidlet and husband haven’t stood a chance against me and my capacity to wolf down a plate of cupcakes without even offering them one first.

Leave me alone, I’m gestating.

But finding those crave-able items hasn’t been very easy up to this point, and sending my hubby out on a wild goose chase for a really good scone hasn’t made me very popular. But then I found this…and just about DIED. This my friends, is the new YP mobile app and I am in LOVE.

The app itself is genius. You can find restaurants, parks, movie theaters, and just about anything else that you can possibly imagine. Shopping anyone? A Cannoli? A Gym for after the Cannoli?? And even better than just finding them, like the old Yellow Pages used to do, this lets you review everything. Want to talk about how AWESOME that drug store was? Or how fabulous that scone was? Or how clean those bathrooms were in that gas station??

Ok ew, but you catch my drift.

Using this app, finding a good restaurant is as easy as pie. It will even use the GPS on my phone to determine what restaurants are in my vicinity and I can read the reviews to figure out who doesn’t suck! And when I pick a restaurant and that place really and truly is awesome? Why, I will review it myself.

I love to review restaurants, mostly because it makes me feel like a food critic, but also because when places are really amazing I like to give them their due. After all, the hubby and I don’t get out much, so if you show us a good time and great food, I’m going to recognize you for it. Case in point? When traveling back east for those two weeks, I went to a lot of restaurants. Some were FABULOUS and some not so great but I made sure to write a review for every one that I went to. I also had a chance to upload pictures of some of them, just so you could see how incredible their food was… Creme Brulee anyone?

But even better than finding great restaurants and obscure food items, it will help you find Gas Prices.
