Hi everyone! I’m Steph Calvert from Hearts and Laserbeams, and I’m so excited to share some free Christmas coloring sheets with you!
My 2 year old son, Phil, absolutely loves to mess with me. He inherited mom and dad’s sense of humor without a doubt, and he is just having a ball with it. Last weekend, we were walking through a boutique on Broughton Street in downtown Savannah. It being Christmas, there were snowmen everywhere.
He pointed at a snowman, and very slowly, deliberately, and clearly said, “Robot.”
I didn’t think anything of it, and I corrected him – sometimes kids that are learning how to talk get confused! “SNOW MAN,” I reply, just as slowly and deliberatly. I’m helping him learn, you understand.
He pauses for a minute.
“ROBOT.” He says again.
I look down at him and he’s grinning.
And the game was on.
“SNOWMAN!” I yell.
“ROBOT!” he yells back.
As we walked through the store, other customers got in the act. “There’s more robots over there,” one guy said helpfully.
I have no idea where Phil comes up with this stuff, but I love it. And in the spirit of messin’ with his muhmuh, I made a robo-er-SNOWMAN for one of my free Christmas coloring sheets. This one’s pretty cold because he has no clothes – encourage your kids to give him something to wear!
