7 Months Old! Whoa. Not sure how the hell that happened.
So yes… the peanut is 7 months old. 7 months now we have been amazed and dazzled by this adorable little creature. Because I mean, seriously? Look at that picture… she’s pretty damn cute.
At 7 months she’s not only cute, she’s a rolling fool. Leave her along for a minute on a blanket and she’s off, rolling around the room, under the coffee table and usually directly for the Big Kid’s toys. And babyproofing with a preschooler who LOVES board games with small pieces totally SUCKS. (Effing Monopoly)
So while the kid is certainly cute, she’s also a major source of stress for her poor Mama. We don’t just call her the Peanut for nothing. This kid is DAMN small. And while small doesn’t necessarily bother me, not growing appropriately DOES. At her last doc’s appointment, it came to our attention that even though she was obviously small, her growth was actually slowing down.
Not. Good.
So we have been on Operation Fatten Up Peanut. This has been going kind of well… but not great. She eats, she nurses, but still isn’t really all that big. BUT, she seems happy and is trying to crawl, so I figure it can’t be all that bad, right? Any anecdotes from you all to let me know it’s going to be ok would be appreciated.. because I’m kind of a basket case.
Oh and then there’s this… to add insult to injury, I apparently am the only acceptable food source. For ANYTHING. Getting someone else to even feed her solids is a huge pain in the butt and she will ONLY take a bottle from me (if she takes it at all). THIS KID IS KILLING ME. Luckily we are still nursing, but damn, she’s high maintenance.
Regardless, she’s cute, she’s small and she’s gearing up to start crawling like a maniac ANY day now. I just can’t wait. *eyeroll*.
Knock it off with giving me gray hairs already dammit.
Whatever lady, I’m totes adorbs.
