4 and 11/12.
Ok, well, not really. The Big Kid is technically 4 and 25/26ths. Of course even though his birthday is less than 2 weeks away, he’s still insisting that he’s 4 and 3/4, which means that I can stay in denial as long as possible that my baby is going to be 5. *gulp*
FIVE.
He’s such a BIG KID these days what with the soccer and Kindergarden and just looking so big and grown up… and talking back and rolling his eyes and treating me like he’s the smartest person in the world and I am… well, NOT.
It’s like he’s already a teenager.
NO NO NO NO NO.
But remember the post I wrote a few weeks ago about him going bump in the night? Coming in to let me know that he’d had an accident again? Thank GOD I had my GoodNites* TRU-FIT*, because like I said in the previous post… waking up mom at 2am to strip sheets can be hazardous to your health.
In a nutshell, he LOVED them.
First of all, he loved the stripes. Not sure why the stripes made such an impact but, Mom, look, the stripes are SO cool. I can’t wait to wear THE STRIPES.
He does seem to have an affinity for stripes in his daily clothes, not to mention several pairs of striped undies so I can see the appeal, but whoa. Stripes are apparently VERY hip.
After getting the insert in and putting them on, my exceptionally vain almost-five-year-old strutted around the house in nothing else, admiring himself in the mirror, turning around to look at the “stripes” and flexing a few times.
*facepalm*
Suffice it to say, they were a hit.
They were a hit with me too because I could convince him to wear them without making him feel like they were anything but big kid underwear. And with their super absorbent inserts and their washable outer shell, I was doing a lot less laundry… which makes me VERY, VERY happy. Because I kind of hate laundry.
