Don’t hate me East Coasters, but we are in need of some serious snow out here in California… Send some our way why dontcha?
But in the absence of snow in CA, and a burning NEED to go skiing, fly to Colorado…
More specifically fly to Denver, then drive approximately 2 hours to Copper Mountain, meet up with old friends in the most AMAZING ski in/ ski out condo EVER and then get snow dumped on us for about a week. Now while most of you across the country could care less about seeing more of the white stuff, we here in CA have been seriously deprived of any liquid falling from the ski and any decent skiing.
(Even after the last snow that gave us about a foot… but the base still sucks…sorry.)
(I think I just saw a million people back east flip me the bird…)
But still. SNOW.
The Peanut? DUG IT. Despite the fact that she was dressed like an ultra-feminine moon man in her pink one piece snow suit, she hopped and leaped and waded through the feet of snow that we got. She ate snow, made snow angels and oh by the way, skied.
I said it. She skied. And it was AWESOME!
The Big Kid, after three days of ski school, was also skiing by the time our trip ended. As two long time skiers, the husband and I were STOKED to finally have everyone up on skis and heading down the mountain.
And while the trip was amazing, to the asswipe who stole my beautiful skis? Karma is a BITCH man.
But skiing with these little shredders was well worth it…
