Tis the season.
The season to pack up most of your belongings, stuff them into a bag, hop on an airplane and travel over the meadow, through the woods all the way to Grandmas/Moms/some other relation’s house. You’ll have your kids, your stuff, their stuff, presents and anything else that you could possible squeeze into your checked bags and carryons. But of course, for that LONG flight to god knows where, you will have completely forgotten to bring yourself anything to read. The kids have all of their stuff because of course they do but you have nothing. And for 4 hours you will watch over their shoulders as they play Angry Birds or Candy Crush and wish you had brought a damn magazine or something.
You could have purchased one in the airport gift shop, but somehow spending 8 dollars to read a magazine that you’ll probably leave on the plane makes you a little twitchy. Also, killing trees.
My solution for all of your problems.
Steal an iPad from one of the kids, they can share one, and download yourself the new Texture app, where you’ll have access to 165 of the best magazine you’ve ever even contemplated reading. These aren’t obscure magazines that you’ve never heard of, but well-known titles like Vogue, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stones, The New Yorker and Bon Appetit. You can research all of your holiday meal plans by looking through the food and cooking titles and because Texture plays well with others, you can even save them to your Evernote. No more ripping recipes out!
What, am I the only one that still does that?
Not only can you browse their catalogs but you can even search for things, like brunch ideas to make once you get to where you’re going, or how to keep your children entertained when you bogart their iPad. It’s all there and totally searchable and you don’t have to read through all 165 magazines to find exactly what you want. So so awesome.
Not sure what you want to read? Texture even curates new and noteworthy articles for you, along with a daily roundup and suggestions. All in one sleek, well designed app.
I personally love it for when I want downtime, maybe in the bath (just don’t drop it in the tub), or hiding in my room, away from the kids (NOT kidding).
I can clip all the recipes I want to make during the holidays, save the amazing outfits I lusted after on the pages of Vogue and Allure, and then clip all of the workouts and diets I’ll need after a month of excess from Dr. Oz or Health Magazine.
It’s ALL THERE.
It’s the MOST amazing holiday gift for people who travel (or for moms, or really anyone who likes to read) as you can download the magazines when you have internet and read it later when the plane does not… you’re also not spending a fortune on magazines and schlepping 20 extra pounds of paper.
On top of the rest of the stuff you’re carrying for the holidays.
Oh and some of those 165 titles? Are for the kids.
In case you ever decide to give their iPad back to them.
Fine kid. Because you’re cute.

I’ve been using (and LOVING) Texture now for little over a year, so when they asked me to write a sponsored post for them I was all over it. All opinions on this are DEFINITELY my own.
